Using a QuickBooks Online feature called recurring sales receipts, landlords can easily set up and automate rent collection via credit cards or ACH.
Once it is set up in QuickBooks Online, each month the tenant is automatically charged the rent payment. The tenant receives an email message and receipt for the rent payment. And the landlord gets paid, on time and automatically.
It can be set up for 11 months – and each month the charge is made and the money is in your operating account. Behind the scenes, QuickBooks Online also credits the tenant’s payments to their account. As long as it is set up correctly, landlords will be pleased with how smoothly the collection process can be accomplished.
