Intuit, the company behind QuickBooks, will be shutting down its free budgeting app Mint. The company will offer users access to its other service Credit Karma when Mint disappears. An Intuit spokesperson told said that Mint will be available until March 24, 2024.
“Credit Karma is thrilled to invite all Minters to continue their financial journey on Credit Karma, where they will have access to Credit Karma’s suite of features, products, tools, and services, including some of Mint’s most popular features,” Mint announced on its blog. The company added that Mint’s product team and some features have already shifted to Credit Karma. At one point, there were over three million Mint Users.
Mint assists its users in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and managing subscriptions. It allows its users to watch monthly bills to help avoid paying late fees.
